In an ongoing effort to support and recognize our volunteers, WUSC has instituted the Annual Dave Shultz Volunteer Coaching Award. Beginning in Fall ’24, WUSC will honor 2 coaches in our program (one in-town and one travel) who uphold the standards set by former WUSC Coach, Board Member and President Dave Shultz.  These pillars are 1. Skill Development 2. Teamwork and 3. Sportsmanship.  

Dave was a long-time coach, mentor and president of Wellesley United Soccer Club who truly believed "it's all about the kids".  His dedication and leadership helped to institute many changes that continued to support the players as the main focus of our programs.  

If you would like to nominate your child’s head or assistant coach for this honor, please enter their name when you complete your survey.  We will be accepting nominations from the Fall ’24 / Spring ’25 seasons to be awarded at our Fall ’25 annual meeting.
