Wellesley United is pleased to announce the details for the Wellesley Development Program for the spring 2025 season. The Wellesley Development Program (WDP) provides opportunities for players within WUSC to experience high level coaching in a challenging and positive development environment.
This season the Wellesley Development Program will continue as birth year to align it with the Wellesley Premier Club Program. All of the Wellesley Premier Club teams are currently set by birth year, this move will allow our players to play with their future teammates at a younger age. This will in turn help build up team camaraderie earlier as players move through the development program into the club program.
Player Development
Player development is our number one priority at Wellesley United Soccer Club. We understand that no two players will develop at the same rate – the Wellesley Development Program creates an environment where players are presented with individual and collective challenges and given the tools required to succeed.
This program provides players with increased ball contact time – more touches on the ball which results in significant player improvement.
Professional training. Simpler logistics. Better results.
The goal of the Wellesley Development Program program is to provide the best soccer development experience for those interested in reaching their maximum potential. In order to do this, the program aims to instill an environment of respect & enthusiasm for the sport of soccer, to promote good sportsmanship and to develop the tactical, technical, psychological and physical elements necessary to be quality WDP soccer players.
