2026/27 Team Assessments
Wellesley Premier Club are excited to announce the player assessment dates for the 2026/27 season. Below is the list of assessment dates for Under 9 - Under 16 age groups. In the assessments the players will be assessed on their skills and match play. All players who are registered for Wellesley Premier Club must attend the assessments. Important Changes to Birth Year Cutoff
Please note that players will be selected to teams based on a number of factors which include a player’s birth date, tryout performance and previous coach’s evaluation and feedback. Teams will now be selected by using the new seasonal-year cycle, which is August 1–July 31 to align ourselves with the US Soccer club standards. This standard will help create clarity, improve understanding about developmental progress and enhance playing environments for our players.
Team Placement/Roster
Once the team placement offer has been sent out you will have 48 hours to accept the offer to confirms your place on the team. Any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out within the 48-hour timeframe.
The number of teams formed in an age group will depend on the number of players who register and their ability levels. Should there be a need for a second or third team, these teams are tiered (according to ability) as an ’A’ team, ’B’ team, 'C' team.
Players are selected to the appropriate team based on a number of criteria including the player’s birth year, ability, previous Wellesley Premier Club coach’s feedback and their assessment performance.
U9 - U10 - Teams 7 vs. 7 game format
U11 - U12 - Teams 9 vs. 9 game format
U13 - U16 - Teams 11 vs. 11 game format
Practice Schedule / Game Schedule
Wellesley Premier Club includes twice weekly training and one weekend game as well as tournaments throughout the year.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: In order to be eligible to play on Wellesley Premier Club team, all players must commit to participating fully in the 2 days of the Wellesley Premier Club program every week, as well as their town practice and game, and the Wellesley Premier Club team Sunday game.
If your son or daughter cannot make a consistent commitment to Premier Club program and Wellesley Town Soccer due to other conflicts or activities, then signing up for the Wellesley Premier Club teams would not be an appropriate option for your player.
