Tuesday WUSC GK Sessions

This Fall, WUSC will be offering goalkeeper sessions that offer high-quality goalkeeper training for 4th-8th graders. Led by our Director of Goalkeeping Joe Sturzo, these sessions will help goalkeepers develop the proper techniques, confidence, and decision-making skills needed to succeed on the field.

A typical session will look like:

• A dynamic warmup
• Technique training with focuses on GK safety, speed and footwork
• Game realistic exercises that mimic game like situations and force GK’s into decision making
• A GK based game where we can use everything we learned in a competitive but fun game environment

These sessions are designed to build confidence and create consistency for all current and aspiring GKs.

Friday 3rd Grade GK Academy

WUSC's 3rd Grade Goalkeeping Academy is the perfect introduction to one of the most sought-after and challenging positions on the field.

Whether your child is interested in trying goalkeeper for the first time or wants to build confidence in the net, this clinic focuses on developing proper technique, coordination, decision-making, and communication through engaging drills and small-sided games. 

Each Friday, players will learn a new goalkeeper skill while reinforcing the fundamentals from previous sessions. Every clinic includes technical instruction, movement training, game-like activities, and opportunities to apply new skills in a fun, encouraging setting. 

Join us on Fridays as we help young goalkeepers build confidence, develop essential skills, and discover the excitement of the most important position on the field!
